The case doesn't wait. Routing moves to the next rule in line, so nothing sits unclaimed because one reader is off duty.
Can I reassign a case after it's been routed?
Yes. Admins can reassign a case, change its priority, or release it back to the group queue at any point, regardless of how it was originally routed.
