No. Keystone remains fully supported and actively developed. NewLumen is not a replacement, it expands what we're able to offer. Many practices will be best served by Keystone for years to come, and we will keep investing in it.
Do I have to switch?
No. Nothing changes for your practice unless you choose it. NewLumen is aimed at teams that want cloud-native reading, especially high-volume, multi-site, and teleradiology workflows. If Keystone fits how you work, keep using Keystone.
What happens to our historical Keystone studies if we try NewLumen?
Your Keystone archive remains accessible during any transition. NewLumen reads standard DICOM, so your priors continue to display the way they always did. New reads happen in NewLumen while the archive stays available for as long as you need it.
Do our hanging protocols and macros carry over?
NewLumen ships with species-tagged hanging protocols out of the box, and your protocol and macro setup is recreated with you during onboarding so reading feels familiar from the first study.
Will NewLumen work with our existing modalities?
Yes. Your imaging equipment submits studies to NewLumen via standard DICOM protocols, the same way it talks to Keystone today. No hardware changes are required.
