What's new at Asteris
Here's what's new
A lot has been changing at Asteris. We're introducing new technology and expanding what we offer across veterinary imaging and practice management, while continuing to support the platforms our customers rely on.
Introducing NewLumen: a new cloud-native veterinary imaging platform from Asteris
NewLumen is the newest addition to the Asteris imaging portfolio, designed for the way veterinary imaging is evolving today. It brings diagnostic viewing, advanced imaging, reporting, worklists and consultation together in one browser-based platform. Studies load up to 11x faster than Keystone in performance testing, with MPR and 3D available directly in the browser and no dedicated viewing workstation required. NewLumen also brings more of the imaging workflow into one place, with species-aware hanging protocols, prior comparisons, integrated veterinary reporting and shared worklists for teams working across practices and locations.
What does NewLumen mean for Keystone users? Keystone isn't going anywhere.
NewLumen does not replace Keystone. Keystone remains fully supported and in active development, and there is no requirement for existing customers to move. Instead, NewLumen expands what Asteris can offer. Practices can continue with the Keystone environment they know, while NewLumen provides another option for organizations looking for cloud-native infrastructure, browser-based advanced imaging or workflows that extend across multiple locations.
What's different with NewLumen?
Up to 11x faster study loading, designed to handle large imaging studies including advanced CT and multi-series imaging. MPR and 3D in the browser without separate desktop viewing software. Less local infrastructure: no on-premise PACS server or proprietary viewing workstation. Veterinary-specific workflows with species-aware hanging protocols, priors, viewing tools and reporting in the same workspace. One worklist across teams and locations, with cases routed by modality, body area and priority. Integrated reporting and consultation on the same platform, from study access through interpretation and report delivery. Already using Keystone? There is nothing you need to change. If you're interested in NewLumen, our team can show you how the platforms differ and discuss what makes sense for your imaging environment.
StableTrack continues to grow
StableTrack is Asteris' equine practice management platform, connecting scheduling, clinical records, billing, inventory and client management across the clinic, truck, barn and field. Recent releases have expanded what teams can do away from the clinic, including offline access and the StableTrack iOS app. Practices can manage inventory by truck and location, use voice-to-SOAP for clinical documentation, create monthly client statements and simplify barn billing with bulk and split-owner invoicing. StableTrack continues to evolve with direct input from the equine veterinary teams using it.

More from Asteris
NewLumen is part of a broader period of development across Asteris. Alongside the launch of NewLumen, we're continuing to invest in Keystone and expanding StableTrack with new capabilities shaped by the veterinary teams using it. We'll also be sharing more regular updates across our products, including new releases, product developments, educational resources and webinars, so our customers have a clearer view of what's available now and what's coming next. Feedback from veterinary teams continues to play an important role in where our products go next. If there's something you think we should hear, we'd love to hear from you.
